Our training courses are designed for staff at all levels and will help ensure that all staff would know what to do in case of a fire and also help promote a high standard of Fire Safety within your premises.

Choosing and using a Fire Extinguisher
All training courses are accredited and approved by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
FIRE SAFETY AWARENESS – duration approx 1hour
Provides staff at all levels with a better understanding of fire safety in the workplace and gives advice on the correct actions that should be taken should a fire occur and also identifying typical fire hazards in the workplace.
FIRE WARDEN / MARSHAL DURATION – up to 4hours
This course is ideal for new fire wardens and also for refresher training for existing fire wardens. The course looks at the very important role that fire wardens undertake in helping to prevent fires starting, assisting with evacuations and also selecting and using fire extinguishers where appropriate.
FIRE SAFETY IN HEALTHCARE PREMISES – duration approx 1hour
This training course can be tailored to the particular audience and premises or department and can be induction training for new staff or mandatory refresher training for all existing staff from those working in patient areas, specialist units, and any other department. Topics covered include:
Evacuation procedures including Progressive Horizontal Evacuation and Vertical Evacuation
How to raise the fire alarm
Responding to the fire alarm
Correct selection of fire extinguishers
Hazard Spotting
FIRE SAFETY IN RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES – duration approx 1hour
This training course can be tailored to suit the individual premises and will help all staff have an increased understanding of care home fire safety and includes:
Action in the event of fire
Evacuation of residents including those who are vulnerable and need help
General fire hazard spotting
Correct selection and use of fire extinguishers
CHOOSING AND USING A FIRE EXTINGUISHER – duration approx 1hour
This course includes the correct identification and selection of the different types of fire extinguishers and includes:
Types of fire extinguisher and the fires for which they are suitable
How to operate the various extinguishers safely
Any extinguishers used for discharge demonstration will be supplied by us
